Canon, record profits in 2001
Japan’s Canon has achieved record profits in 2001 thanks to strong demand for digital cameras and a favorable exchange rate. The group has achieved a net profit to 167 billion yen, amounting to 1.26 billion dollars. The group has seen an increase in profit of 25%. Year Started just Canon expects to improve earnings to 170 billion yen, thanks to a good increase in sales of new products.
